Ger Koper is associate professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Delft University of Technology. He became electronics engineer in 1975 and worked as such in the Department of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry of the Leiden University from 1976 – 1985. He received his Ph. D. degree from Leiden University in 1990 on Aging in Spin Glasses with prof. dr. H.J. Hilhorst from the Lorentz Institute for Theoretical Physics as supervisor. From 1990 until 2000 he was senior lecturer at the Physical and Macromolecular Chemistry group with prof. dr. D. Bedeaux and prof. dr. J.C. Leyte. His research field is Colloid and Interface Science with emphasis on Aggregation and Adsorption Phenomena.
Current group members are working on material research for fuel cells
- Emma Westsson: non-noble catalysts
- Angie Rangel: charge carrier dynamics in fuel cell membranes
- Davide Ripepi: simulation of fuel cells using non-equilibrium thermodynamics
- Koen Heykoop: improving analytical techniques for fuel cell research
and on interfacial gelation
